Dubai!

Below you'll see some pics I've added from my trip to Dubai last weekend with both the Junior Varsity Girls and Boys Soccer teams! Other than the school's soccer fields, I really didn't get to see much...only the Mall of the Emirates and a quick tour from my host (all the teams stay with host families from the school in Dubai) - to see some hotels and a few buildings!

Enjoy!

Lori :)

My Trip to Dubai with the Soccer Teams!

Dubai airport's newest terminal. On our way home, our girls' saw Mischa Barton (Marissa from the tv show - The O.C.) in the airport - they were soooooo excited!

Some of the Junior Varsity Girls team (grade 9/10)

JV Boys - it's a rule that they need to dress sharply when they travel!

The Dubai American Academy foyer - the first sign of Christmas I've seen this year!

Inside the Mall of the Emirates

My first real glass of wine in 4 months! UAE isn't a dry country like Kuwait!

Ski Dubai - in the Mall of the Emirates

Inside the Mall!

Burj Al-Arab Hotel in the background - another pic of this later...and of course, cranes everywhere!

Mall - the silver part is the ski hill!

Constantly under construction

Al Qasr Hotel
View from the Al Qasr Hotel - you can see the Burj Al-Arab Hotel again which is lit up with changing colours and is designed to look like a sail!

Burj Dubai - the tallest building in the World...it's supposed to be over 700m tall!

They love their shopping here!
